Auditions for Broadway Cabaret Concert
Audition for ÃÛÌÒapp Theatre Company's upcoming Broadway Cabaret Concert!

The ÃÛÌÒapp Theatre Company is holding auditions for a Broadway Cabaret Concert on Wednesday, November 13th and Thursday, November 14th, 2024. This show will feature some of your favorite and iconic Broadway hits, and will include everything from outstanding solos and small groups to fully choreographed ensemble numbers.

Auditions are open to ALL ÃÛÌÒapp students.

We are looking for a large ensemble cast of about 25 students. All students cast will be part of the singing and dance numbers throughout the show.

AUDITION INFORMATION
Each auditioner must prepare 16-32 bars of a musical theater or movie musical song that best showcases their vocal ability AND that you would be comfortable singing as a possible solo number in the show. You must provide a recorded track for your audition—we will provide a Bluetooth speaker with aux cords (lighting and usb-c connectivity) for you to use.
No acapella singing, please.

In addition to a vocal audition, everyone will be asked to do a dance audition. It is your responsibility to learn the dance before your audition day. However, you may arrive starting at 6:00p.m. both days to review the dance and ask questions before going into the audition room. The audition dance will be made available as soon as possible, but no later than two weeks prior to auditions.

CALLBACK INFORMATION
Callbacks will be held by invite only on Thursday, November 14th, starting at 8:15p.m. People called back will be asked to either sing their entire song or learn a new dance cut. Those auditioning on Wednesday will receive an email from our stage manager following the end of that night's auditions if they are needed for callbacks. For people auditioning on Thursday, we will let them know if we need them to stay before they are dismissed.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
On the day of your audition, please bring the following:

  • Your music track
  • A completed audition packet (see below)
  • A recent photo or selfie of yourself
