ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES: Backpacking, Beach Exploration, and Great Lakes Swimming

ADVENTURE DIFFICULTY LEVEL: Challenging (i.e. diverse hiking terrain, navigating rocks, short steep climbs)

DATES: August 21–28

COST: $649

The “Coastal Trail” is one of the most scenic and challenging stretches of backpacking east of the Rockies. The boreal forest and rocky coastline of Lake Superior Provincial Park is a backpacking paradise with secluded beaches, granite cliffs and overlooks, and steeply dropping rivers populated with waterfalls.

Students should anticipate moderate to challenging hiking, mastering backcountry living and travel skills, plenty of water play, and enjoying sandy beaches and primitive camps on the weeklong adventure. Passport or enhanced driver’s license required. 1 PER 138 Credit.
