Dr. Yue Zhuo

Biography

Dr. Zhuo grew up in Guizhou, China, and has lived abroad in the United Kingdom and United States. As a fourth generation teacher, she inherited the desire to pursue a career as an educator and has been working as a language instructor for over ten years. Dr. Zhuo began her teaching career as an English as foreign language (EFL) instructor in China and is currently teaching Chinese at ÃÛÌÒapp.

As a professor, she encourages students to use language in meaningful contexts, introduces Chinese cultural literacy, and inspires students to understand Chinese culture from various perspectives.

Dr. Zhuo enjoys traveling, reading, films, and music, especially singing Chines folk songs, but Chinese calligraphy is one of her favorite hobbies. She enjoys giving Chinese calligraphy demonstrations at cultural festivals and helping people appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese characters.
